Anne taught for 20 years in mainstream secondary schools and has an M Phil in educational research from the University of Southampton. She has 8 years experience of DfE national programme delivery and for 6 years before retirement in 2014 was Strategic lead for Education Other Than at School (EOTAS) at Manchester City Council. She currently maintains links with schools through volunteering in local primary schools and was Chair of the Interim Executive Board at Grange School from April 2018.
Simon has worked in Education roles for the majority of his working life. This has included leadership positions in secondary schools, Local Authorities, Regional Director (NW) National Strategies and a member of the senior management team in a University Education Dept. The diverse range of experience from these roles ensures he brings expertise that will contribute to effective local governance at The Grange.
Lizzie Wray has worked in Manchester schools for over 25 years as a class teacher and school leader. Lizzie has worked as a consultant for Focus Education delivering training to teachers on the creative curriculum. Over the last 8 years, Lizzie has been the head teacher at Crowcroft Park Primary school, working closely with other schools in the Longsight and Ardwick partnership to strategically plan and promote high quality education across 10 local primary schools.
Working collaboratively with other schools has led to a great impact on school improvement and has created a network of successful school leaders and teachers improving the outcomes for the children in our schools. Over the last year, (April 2018 - June 2019) she has been a governor on the Interim Executive Board for Grange School providing governance support and challenge for school improvement.
