‘Great schools thrive because of the great people in them’.
As part of Prospere Learning Trust, we pride ourselves in being a great place to work, providing a supportive culture with opportunities to:
• grow and develop your career;
• achieve a healthy work life balance; and
• to be recognised for the great work you do.
We continually strive to create a community where all our staff and students feel understood, valued and sense of belonging.
Grange School is a special school which provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). We offer a bespoke education for a wide range of pupils between EYFS and KS5 through the provision of a carefully planned and stimulating environment where the pupils can explore, investigate and learn. Our bespoke Know and Remember Curriculum has been devised to ensure pupils have access to the National Curriculum, through engaging and challenging classroom activities.
Following the Ofsted inspection in 2023, we have been graded Outstanding in all areas.
"Grange school is an inspirational learning environment in which pupils thrive and prosper."
Grange School offers some of the most exciting and engaging curriculum enrichment activities to support the pupil’s learning. We have an on-site farm with alpacas, pigs and ducks, alongside guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises and a gecko. Alongside our enhanced learning area, we also host a full-size role play area which enables pupils to practise real-world skills such as using money, work in our on-site post office and mail delivery service or experience several other real-world settings, including a grocer’s, a doctor’s surgery, a vet’s, a bakery and a mechanics garage.
Staff experience and wellbeing is important to us and we ensure that our staff feel informed and supported from their first day and throughout their experience as part of our school community.
"Staff report that the school and the trust consider their workload and well-being thoroughly. For example, the support and guidance provided by the school helps teachers with their preparation for lessons and reduces workload." Ofsted 2023
We are committed to recruiting and retaining outstanding support staff and teaching staff to enable us to achieve our vision and equip our pupils so that they can achieve any ambition they may have and lead a life brimming with success, happiness and fulfilment.
